Honey & Haven's mission is to provide underprivileged communities and children with the things they need to thrive. Like our name implies, we provide a haven from a dark, uncertain future and the honey, or nourishment and love, every child needs.

A SAFE HAVEN
Every child who crosses the threshold of a Honey & Haven home is instantly provided the necessities of life including food, shelter, and clothing. Today over 80 children call us home.
CARE & EDUCATION
Like mama bears, we want the best for children. Beyond food, shelter and clothing, we also provide for healthcare and education needs.
COMMUNITY GROWTH
We want the communities we serve to grow & shine beyond our four walls. We employ local women and partner with government leaders to make a positive change.

Childhood is the shortest, yet most formative time in a person’s life. Unfortunately, many children in underdeveloped areas are robbed of their sweet innocence and the joy of childhood.
Imagine being a child and searching through rubbish for a rotted scrap to quiet the pain of hunger. Imagine crying yourself to sleep on a street corner wondering if you'll ever have a home, or even a pillow to rest your head on at night.
Honey & Haven provides these tiny, sweet broken-hearts with a beacon of hope, an opportunity to change the story. We give them a safe haven to call home, a warm meal to nourish their growing bodies, a hug in the morning and a tender hand to tuck them in at night.
Today, our inaugural Honey & Haven supported orphanage located in Iganga, Uganda, helps over 80 children and supports 11 local women by providing them with work in the orphanage.

When a child crosses the threshold of our home, we fully see them and all of their needs. Beyond food, shelter and clothing, we also seek to meet the physical, mental and emotional needs of our children.
From band-aids and broken bones to learning letters and numbers, we do our best to ensure Honey & Haven children get the healthcare attention required, while also giving them daily opportunities for adventure, fun, learning and growth. By meeting children’s physical, mental and emotional needs, we encourage development and growth of the whole child as an individual.

Lighting the path to community empowerment.
We want nothing more than the communities we serve to grow and shine beyond our four walls. To make this dream possible, we employ responsible, caring and trustworthy individuals, often women, from the local community itself - they’re the community’s “mama bears”. These adults serve as educators and caretakers at our Honey & Haven homes.
By providing local women with a source of income that may not otherwise be accessible, these individuals are able to improve the future for their family, and reinvest their income into the local economy. Our community centric approach doesn’t end there. Wherever we serve, we foster positive, ongoing relationships with government leaders including politicians, judges, police and hospitals. We respect and understand local regulations, but more importantly, strive to pave a road to a brighter future hand-in-hand with other leaders.
We see no boundaries as to the impact we can make. As faithful, diligent stewards of our gifts and blessings, we apply our time, resources and talents to the people, circumstances and communities where our special approach is needed most.
